Private loan or hard money needed

    So, for hard money loans I’ve seen Terry Weakly’s name come up time and time again… I’ve always heard positive things about him and I would feel comfortable using him based on the recommendations that I’ve seen should I need a loan…  So I have a few questions:

    • 1.       Is there a general list of “preferred” vendors/service providers that is available to the DFW REI club for various housing related services? For example, if you want a loan the DFW REI club recommends that you go w/ Terry Weakly, or (person #2, or person #3) as these people have a high satisfaction rate within the group… I see some links but don't know if there is a more robust list available...
    • 2.       Do we compare notes of various companies? For example, “I got a great deal with my carpeting, and I used company x”…. “Well I got a great deal and utilized company y”… Do we (potentially) compare notes as a group to see who truly is getting the best deal (for comparable products)? 

    • 3.       Is there a DFW REI contact list? Not only for service providers but also for each other? Jesus G. has awesome ideas and insight, if I wanted to email him directly or call him to have a more detailed conversation with him, is there a contact list that one could utilize?

    Pardon my ignorance on the above, I’m just thinking out loud here and lobbing out thoughts. If this is not the appropriate forum for these questions please let me know. Also please feel free to email me and/or my general manager if you have insight for us! Thanks.

    - The links on this site will connect you with the sponsors of DFW REI Club.  Currently, there is no other official list of vendors on this site, but many others have been referred on this forum.

    - Sharing notes on various vendors on this forum is fine unless it involves negative, non-constructive criticism.

    - Due to privacy issues, we do not publish member contact info.  That may seem ironic given that this is a networking club, and I wish it wasn't that way, but, believe me, we need to keep it that way.  We don't even pass on email addresses and phone numbers of individual members when requested from another member.  In those cases, with permission, I might just forward the requestor's email to the member being sought.  Having said all that, everyone is free to share their contact info on this forum if they so choose.  Many have done so over the years.
