I posted this as a reply in another topic thread so if you read it there then please forgive me:

My family and I recently took the plunge from working 9-5 at a regular job in order to persue real estate full time. I am in my second month as a full time agent in Fort Worth and I currently have 1 deal in the works and am hoping and praying for another this week.

Long story short, I'm also a handyman and can use a little extra income to keep us from dipping into savings while business picks up. I have a little experience in apartment maintenance such as make ready type work, I have worked as a painter for a custom carpenter, and I have worked as an electrician for the past 8 years (I am currently 120 hours from being eligible to test as a journeyman). I have all of my own tools and feel very comfortable helping with issues involved with make ready, minor electrical work such as outlets or ceiling fans, and I have experience in electric water repair troubleshooting and repair. I also love tearing things apart so if you need a demo man then I can help.

I have worked my way through seminary as an electrician on campus and have many references to verify my information. It would be an honor to serve you and also a huge help to have a little extra income. Please email me if you would like to discuss this further at justinburkleo@kw.com. Thank you very much.

Justin, I have a rehab house in Waxahachie and my contractor has disappeared.  Would you be interested in working there?  I have a list of things, among them, installing electrical outlets and switches, light fixtures.  I could keep you busy with some other things/details that need to be finished.

I need ASAP.  call me 682-701-6559.

Jane, also ck out a post from 7-21 where Suzette asked for handyman help too - she got several responses which also might be of use.  Sorry to hear your GC has disappeared on you after all of your waiting - however, considering the situation thus far, it doesnt surprise me-there's no more money in it for him.  I'd contact BBB, and tell him you are doing so if you are able to leave him a message.
