I know a few TREC licensed appraisers who are also investors. However, the term, "investor friendly," seems to carry with it an implication that they might go the extra mile to produce an appraisal slanted in a certain direction. If recent history is any guide, I'm guessing virtually all appraisers are still hyper-sensitive toward making sure all their appraisals are clearly fair and balanced. Also, these guys typically are hired by third-party companies so that an "arms length" appearance is maintained and their integrity is preserved.
