Landlord Insurance

    Can anyone recommend an insurance company to provide Landlord policies ... I have two properties and plan on more and need a company that is service oriented and can possibly provide all my personal stuff, including an umbrella policy.

    Any thoughts will be appreciated.

    I went to several insurance companies for my rental properties. Dave Burdick was the most cost effective option for us. They have even developed a program where you pay month-to-month for your builders risk policy (which is definitely recommended during a rehab of a property). Other insurers make you pay 3 month minimum policy for builders risk with no discounting (or refunds) when complete the rehab and have tenants move in. And switching to a tenant occupied policy is as easy as a phone call or e-mail to Dave. Which is the most cost effective too. So when you call Dave Burdick ask for Prentiss Waller in his office and ask him to explain in more detail the savings aforementioned. He will gladly explain in greater detail.
